Getting to know Sheri McBroom I haved lived in Phoenix for the last 14 years and really watched it grow. I got my license shortly after moving to Phoenix. You could say real estate is in my genetic make up. I grew up in San Diego, CA with my parents practicing both real estate and building. I never thought this is what I would be doing. Now, I could not imagine any thing I would enjoy doing more. I have a team of dedicated people available to help ensure the quality of every transaction and technical side of the business. For the first four years of my real estate career, I worked with Century 21. They have an excellent training program and gave me the confidence I needed to join Re/Max. I have been with Re/Max for the past 9 years. Re/Max is an international company, so it is easy to help buyers and sellers from other areas of the world make their move go as smoothly as possible. It is required that an agent take 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years keep their license renewed. I make it a point to take the newest calsses and receive other designates through those classes. With all the changes that take place in real estate, I find it is essential to stay on top of all the new laws concerning real estate. I have coveted designations of Graduated Realtor institute, Accredited buyer representitive and am in the process of working on my CRS. I hope you select a Realtor that you will feel very comfortable working with and are able to sell your home for top dollar, with the LEAST amount of inconvenience.

Selling Your Home >Scents and Home Sense
Prospective buyers may react to the way a home smells. Cigarette smoke, strong disinfectants, insecticides, kitty litter, and french fries have all been known to dampen the enthusiasm of buyers who might otherwise respond positively to a house that would meet their needs.
Be sure that your home passes the sniff test when it is on the market. Many people have a particular reaction to smoke and pet odors, so consider a temporary smoking ban inside your home while it is on the market. If you have a cat box, be meticulous about cleaning it. If your new puppy has ruined a chair, replace the stained chair with a spot-free one.
There are cleaning services which specialize in stain and odor removal. They may suggest carpet steaming and other techniques to remove the offensive smell. Even if buyers are themselves smokers or have pets of their own, they will react differently to the same odors lingering in a home they are considering.
